PCA 111: Using YouTube to Disseminate your Final Project

Today we will be thinking about a few interconnected questions that need to be considered for us to move forward with our final projects:
1) Why use YouTube to distribute your ideas and/or promote your project/cause?
2) How can you produce the most effective, persuasasive text and video possible?
3) What technology is available to you to help you develop your YouTube video?

#1 Writing Prompt
Questions to consider your final project presentation and using YouTube as a tool, as a methodology, and as a medium. Brainstorm the following:
Can YouTube be used to disseminate information and to promote social change? If so, how? If not, why? What are some of the limitations of YouTube? How do those limitations effect, in particular, your final projects and/or topics? Would other mediums be more effective for you to distribute your message. If so, what are they and why?

#2 In the second half of class, we will start developing an outline for our final project presentations.

#3 Fenfei Ouyang, Educational Technolgist with the Learning Enhancement Center, will join us today for a short presentation on
