Final Portfolios Due: Draft Week 14, Final Week 15

Final Portfolio
A draft of your portfolio is due week 14 and your final is due week 15. Week 14 we will work on our portfolios in class as a group as well as in individual sessions. Please bring in as much as you can so you have something to work on in class.

Your portfolio should include:
1) A 2-3 page cover letter that reflects on your progress this semester 1) as a writer, thinker, and student; and 2) on your project. (See page 429-436 for suggestions about how to approach this.)

2) Assignments related to your project, including:
a. Your interview
b. The Annotated Bibliography
c. The Community-Based Research Essay
d. The Manifesto
e. In-class writing prompts about the final project
f. Any other writing you have created or collected

3) One or two other samples of your writing. This can be your turning point essay, your fairy tale, your Push essays, and/or any other writing you completed this semester that you think relates to your final project. (They can be tangentially related but it is your job to make the reader understand how they are connected to your project.)

I suggest going through your blog and my blog fully before deciding which documents you will include in your portfolios.
