II. BRAINSTORM LIST:
Write the names of the fairy tales you choose to read in your blog. Now, come up with a list of fairy tales you already know. Think about what these fairy tales have in common. COME UP WITH A LIST OF AT LEAST 3 to 4 CHARACTERISTICS OF FAIRY TALES.
III. APPLY CONCEPT:
When you are done, get into groups of at least two. Share your list with your classmate. Discuss why you choose those characteristics.
Now, turn to Push. Go through the characteristics of fairy tales you came up with and as a group decide if they apply to the novel. Go through each characteristic. Take notes of your findings including examples from the text (note the page number). We’ll share your findings with the larger class in the second half so take good notes.
