PCA 111 Class 8: Developing Community

For your homework due today, you were asked to list and describe communities you belong to. Today, we are going to build on developing our understanding of the multiple communities which we belong to, how they intersect, and how they can be improved. Go back to your list of 6 communities and in your notebook brainstorm a list for each:

1) What primary role(s) do you play in that community?

2) What are the most important things you get from that community?

3) What are some of the problems, issues, or tensions in that community?

Once you've brainstormed a list for all 6 communities, choose one that is most important to you. On your blog, identify the community you choose and why you choose it.

For the rest of the semester, we will be creating a plan of action to implement in our community so start thinking about it could be better and how you can put that into action.
